Hi there! So glad you found me and have an interest in Ayurveda.

Instead of writing about myself in the third person, I’ll just share a little about me…from me.

I’ve been into yoga forever. Seriously, FOREVER.

My journey started when I was a teenager. I rented a Raquel Welch yoga video tape from the video store thinking it looked kind of cool. Yes…it was a VHS tape and if you don’t know what that is, ask your parents!

That kicked off my yoga journey. I was around 16 or 17-years-old at the time.

I’d like to say that I just dove right into the practice at that young age but that’s not what happened.

I went to college.

Got lucky and landed a J.O.B. using my degree (practicing yoga when I could, of course).

Got married.

Had kids (two boys).

Got divorced.

Then…I really got yoga (and did my teacher training – yay for yoga!)

Got married a second time (to the sweetest man ever who will never be rid of me).

And then…finally…I got Ayurveda (this stuff is simple and so, so powerful for healing).

Now, I’m traveling to India (the actual birthplace of Ayurveda – Kerala), teaching on retreats across the planet and setting up my own teacher training.

I use Ayurveda every single day. It’s a part of the daily meals I prepare, how I move and nourish myself and those around me seasonally, and what I use for treatment when my “people” (kids, husband, clients etc) get sick.

I see clients one-on-one for Ayurveda, Yoga & Wellness as well as in class settings. I do personal training and nutritional consultations.

And guess what?

Ayurveda has helped my clients, lose weight, sleep better and feel not just good but GREAT. I’ve worked with people with thyroid issues, adrenal issues, anemia, infertility, urinary tract issues, depression, anxiety & more.

I’m an E-RYT certified yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, a Level 1 Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor and member of NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association) specializing in women’s health & rejuvenative practices…

…aaaaaand I’m currently working on my medicine making herbalism certification with Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine because I’m crazy interested in plant-based, natural medicine.

My Level 1 Ayurveda training is with California-based, Sevanti Wellness – James Bailey,  LAc, Dipl OM, Dipl Ayu, E-RYT.

My yoga training includes Ashtanga, Raja, Kriya, Kundalini, Thai Yoga Massage, Pre and Post Natal Yoga, Power Yoga, Core Strength Vinyasa, SUP Yoga,  Restorative Yoga, YIN Yoga & Kid’s Yoga.

I hold a BA in Mass Communications and write for several blogs  when I have the time (which isn’t happening so much these days).

So, enough about me.

What about you? You’ve found me, here, online…what do YOU need? If you’re thinking Ayurveda can help you, I’m here to tell you it can.
